The Services SETA has made steady progress in transitioning from legacy/historical to occupational qualifications. To date, about 79 occupational qualifications have been reviewed/aligned to the QCTO occupational qualifications framework. The transition process requires continuous engagements with industry role players to ensure that everyone affected is up to date with new developments is familiar with related processes including application for accreditation – training providers and employers.

Against this background, the Qualifications Development and Maintenance and Chamber Operations departments will be hosting online sessions in relation to the above to which you cordially invited. These sessions will also involve data gathering for the update of the Sector Skills Plan 2025/26. The focus of the SSP update will be around hard-to-fill vacancies (scarce skills) and skills gaps (critical skills) as well as change drivers for skills demand in the services sector. Your attendance and input into the workshops will be highly valued.
